Where it started.
Chiropractic has been a way of life for the Humphreys family for generations. Their story began in the 1960s, with Tom Humphreys, the first chiropractor in the family. Tom was known for genuine care and practical treatment, and formed lifelong relationships with the people he looked after.
Tom had an interest in how chiropractic could help animals, as beloved family members whose health also mattered. This grew into a long-standing passion for animal chiropractic, particularly within the racing industry, and laid the foundation for what would become a multi-generational family legacy.
Tom’s son Robert inherited this passion and through more than 40 years of dedicated work, and genuine appreciation for the role animals play in people’s lives has become a respected figure in the field of animal chiropractic.
Today, that legacy continues with third-generation chiropractor Dr Dan Humphreys, who after more than 15 years working alongside Robert is continuing the Humphreys family vision through Humphreys Health and Performance.

The next evolution of the family legacy brings together generations of experience in both human and animal chiropractic under one roof. From traditional beginnings, the business has grown into a modern, integrated model of care focused on health, performance, and long-term wellbeing.

“Took my Jackapoo to Robert Humphreys a year after he had IVDD surgery due to symptoms returning. I was referred by a friend. “It was Samson our German Shepherd’s first visit with Dan today & what a great experience it was. Dan thoroughly checked Sam & explained everything so clearly to me & what was actually going on with him.
